It's really choppy and suuuuuper scribbly because I took like 30 seconds to draw each frame. Please fill in the gaps and gloss over the art with your wonderful imagination! I made it in Windows Movie Maker which is an absolutely evil program =o=

The Echo chamber dilemmaThe promise of the Internet was that unlimited information and experiences would draw us together. But instead it seems to have driven us apart.
For years I've observed this behavior but haven't been able to vocalize it correctly. Originally I called the behavior of collective opinions as "the hive mentality" of the Internet. But that wasn't exactly right and I often got called out on it. The most prominent example was when I made a comic about a guy disagreeing with opinions and being shouted at till he remained quiet, eventually fading into the background with everyone else. The consensus of that comic was that if you disagree with someone you aren't bullied into not speaking, but instead are free to go someplace else where people who do agree with you exist. And you know what? That wasn't what i was trying to convey, but is sadly true. The Internet is not a hive mind. It's many tiny pocket echo chambers of mutual agreements.

So while looking on one of my watchers pages I saw a comment that kind of upset me and I felt a little trolled.

Some one had brought up this watcher being a fan of my bby,

and they asked if they knew of me.. the person replied :

" yeah i know 'kodee' dont think thats her name as shes never said it before i dont think... but any who XD yes i like hers too c: "

... 'kodee'

Really...? My name IS Kodee.
My full first name is Kodee-Lee. It says so on my birth cirtificate, my ID, my school cards and my mail. That is my name.
And if you don't think it is my name, then ASK me.. dont go commenting about me somewhere else.

I commented back to the person, saying it was my name.. and please adress me as a male.

YES, I AM AWARE THAT I AM NOT PHYSICALLY MALE.
I DO KNOW THIS.

MY TITS ARE A GIVE AWAY.
I PROMISE, I AM AWARE.

I am FtM transgender. And I don't dress the part of a boy as much because I am not openly discussing this with my parents, they don't even know. Only a select few of my real friends know and anyone online who pays attention to the things I write knows.
I also realize there are times I draw myself as I currently am.. which is female. Yes, I do that sometimes. Not all the time like I used too. MOST TIMES I AM DRAWN AS A MALE.

And if you look in

's gallery.. There is only one or two pictures where he has drawn me as a female. Besides that, he draws me as a male.

If you are uncomfortable calling me by male terms, that's fine. I dont mind being called a girl in that case. BUT..

BUT.

I will respect you more if you refer to me as male. Because it is my choice and my feelings.
And no one will change them but me.

I can totally see why that would annoy you. Seeing as I'm a lesbian, and quite open about it, and a friend of mine just came out as a pansexual. Someone told me Pansexual simply does not exist and that she is bisexual or nothing. I got pretty frustrated, considering I know the difference, but also because she was never made fun of until coming out about being Pansexual, when before she only claimed she was indeed bisexual.
Plus someone called me a fag today, first day of my Sophomore year. (Fun, right?)
But I want to just say I refer to you both as males and you're my favorite dA couple. <3

I totally understand your situation..... I can't really see myself as a female either sometimes. It's almost like I am in the wrong body. That was very rude of that person, and I hope they understand what it feels like to have things said behind their back.
